3D Printing and Modeling for Beginners (MINI+)
Hello, Thank you for choosing the Original Prusa MINI+ printer. The main goal of this course is to make using the printer as simple, efficient and accessible as possible for complete beginners - therefore some basic definitions and explanations may add to the overall length of the course. Feel free to skip them if you already have knowledge about 3D printing. All content is unlocked from the start, so you can navigate back and forth as you wish.

First printing
We are almost ready to start our first print. But before we start, we need to learn how to control the printer. We'll quickly go through the basic menu - almost everything is quite intuitive.
Downloading 3D models
Although the designs included on the USB drive are interesting and useful, if you only print them, you will probably get bored after a few days. Where can you get more printable designs if you don't feel ready to create your own designs yet? Fortunately, there are many online databases full of 3D objects that can be downloaded for free! 🚀
Preparing to print the 3D model ("Slicing")
As mentioned before, a 3D printer does not "understand" 3D models directly. They must first be translated into a set of specific instructions, such as temperature, print speed, each movement of the printer's axes, etc. The resulting file is called G-code.
Basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
In this lesson, we'll explore some basics of printer maintenance and print troubleshooting. Although our printers are designed to be as easy to use and plug-and-play as possible, they are still quite complex devices with many moving parts. Even with a new, pre-assembled printer like yours, at least very basic (but regular) maintenance is required.
