Aluminum filament printing
6061 aluminum filament contains approximately 65% metal and has a density of 1.51g/cc. The filament allows any Fusion Filament Fabrication (FFF) printer to produce metal objects. Once the object is printed, it will be placed in a sintering furnace, the result will be 100% metal.
Recommendations for printing with aluminum filament
Temperature: 265-295 °C (401-455 °F)
Set the printer bed to 90-120°C (104-122°F)
Speed: 30 mm / sec (1800 mm / min) for starting.
Nozzle: Standard stainless steel 0.6mm or larger.
Filament Placement: It is important not to pull the filament while printing. Try hanging the spool of filament right above the printer.
