The most important new features of the Prusa i3 MK3 printer
• Frame stability
With the Prusa Mk3 3D Printer you can print faster and quieter! Only on the Mk3 printer is the Y-axis rebuilt from extruded aluminum. It provides the same rigidity to the printer and protects against the movement of the printer during the printing period of the objects. The frame is optimized to give the Z-axis an additional 10 cm in height, and a total of 210 cm.
• Quieter and faster printing
Same printing as the previous model, but with an improved experience! Trinamic2130 drivers and Noctua fan, the Mk3 is an extremely quiet printer in stealth mode. However, the printer is 99% quieter than other printers available on the market even in classic mode of operation. To print your favorite objects now the speed can increase up to 200mm/s.
• Power outage?
Have you ever tripped over your printer's power cord and lost a 20-hour item? The Mk3 printer will save you! The new available model has integrated a functionality through which you can resume printing from the point where it was stopped. The printer will detect the power failure and stop heating the print bed. After feeding, printing can be resumed.
• Filament sensor
The integrated optical sensor detects the presence and movement of the filament during printing. The Mk3 recognizes when the filament runs out and pauses printing so the user can insert a new spool of filament. Furthermore, the Mk3 can detect stuck filament to notify the user that nozzle cleaning is required.
• Layers Recovery
The new EINSY RAMBo motherboard with Trinamic drivers can detect steps and layer deletion. This is an important step in increasing user trust. Imperfect prints with missing layers will no longer exist with this printer.
• Extruder
Mk3 is more reliable because the extruder used is of the Bondtech type, which grips the filament on both sides to increase the pushing force and making the printer more reliable. This new functionality helps especially when printing with flexible type filaments.
• Thermistor P.I.N.D.A. 2
MK3 has two new thermistors. The first of these measures the ambient temperature of electronic devices, and the second is incorporated into the new P.I.N.D.A 2 to compensate for temperature variation. So the first layer will always be perfect!
• E3D V6 nozzle
E3D V6 is well known for its high temperature performance. The Mk3 uses a heat generator customized to the printer's capacity, which was developed together with E3D.
• Possibility of removing the bed
The new MK3s have a replacement spring steel plate with a PEI surface. For different levels of adhesion, there are two types of surfaces available for the bed: the classic surface and the powder-based surface that ensures increased adhesion during printing.

• Optical sensor for detecting the presence and detection of filament movement helps you to make filament consumption more efficient, if unforeseen situations occur, the printer can detect this in advance
• Automatic filament loading when filament is inserted allows the user with a simple check to correctly load and extrude the inserted filament
• Extruder fan blocking is prevented by stopping the die so as not to damage the extruder
