Recently, one of the robots in our portfolio, Pepper, took its first steps in the fascinating world of medical aesthetics. In this article we tell you about a recent collaboration with Dr. Elena Martin and his team, who "fell in love with him at first sight (on Instagram)". More precisely, between May 25 and 26, the Pepper robot was integrated into the Dr. Elena Martin clinic, as well as at the Aesthetic Boost event, both held in Bucharest.

About Dr. Elena Martin and Aesthetic Boost:

Dr. Elena Martin is a well-known cosmetic surgery doctor, specialized in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery. With extensive experience in prestigious clinics and hospitals in Europe and the US, Dr. Martin brings significant knowledge and expertise to his practice area. . After completing internships in hospitals such as the famous Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and Miami Clinic, the doctor chose to return to Romania to offer her patients international level aesthetic interventions.

Dr. Elena Martin recently launched Aesthetic Boost, a prestigious masterclass dedicated to aesthetic professionals and doctors who want to improve their knowledge of aesthetic medicine techniques. The Bucharest edition took place between May 25-26 at the Dr. Elena Martin Clinic and at the Marmorosch Hotel.

Why Pepper?

As everything Dr. Martin does is superlative, the desire to offer a unique experience to Aesthetic Boost participants was natural. He wanted a unique way to welcome the event participants, present them with basic information and provide them with fun moments, for an unforgettable atmosphere.

"We chose to rent the Pepper robot because we want every event we organize to be special, to remain in the minds and hearts of the participants. And because we fell in love with it at first sight (on Instagram)", Monica Vlad, representative of Dr Elena Martin, told us.

Our solution

To meet Dr. Martin's needs, we made available our Pepper robot, equipped with customized software, adapted to the specific requirements of the event. In programming Pepper, we wanted him to be a friendly host, ready to provide useful information when needed, but also quality humor to generate smiles.

Pepper's software features included:

Greeting and Information: Pepper greeted visitors at the entrance, providing essential information about the clinic and the Aesthetic Boost program. The robot acted as a well-informed host, answering frequently asked questions during the event.

Entertainment and engagement: Pepper entertained guests with dances, jokes, photos and hugs, providing a funny and memorable experience for the interlocutors.

Feedback Collection: Pepper made it easy to collect feedback from participants by having a QR code on the screen that they scanned to complete a satisfaction survey.

Results

Throughout the two days, the Pepper Robot interacted both with patients of the Dr. Elena Martin clinic, as well as with the specialist doctors present at Aesthetic Boost. Both for some and for others, Pepper's presence was a pleasant surprise: "At first they didn't know who he was and what he was doing, but the reaction was clearly one of amazement and then sympathy."(Monica Vlad).

We wanted organizers to fully enjoy Pepper's contribution, streamlining their workflow. That is precisely why an IRIS Robotics representative was present to ensure the smooth integration of the robot. "Given that this is the first event we've brought a robot to, and that we were completely unfamiliar with implementing programs, we enjoyed having the team behind Pepper to guide us. They taught us patiently and tactfully." (Monica Vlad).

Conclusions

The successful collaboration with Dr. Elena Martin and the organizing team represented for us a first step in the integration of social robots in the field of aesthetics. By harnessing the advanced capabilities of the Pepper Robot, we can innovate the way medical events are conducted, as well as patient interaction.
