3D printers and scanners are among the most sought-after equipment by companies that will to modernize their production processes to reduce costs and production times.

And companies that decide to implement these technologies can benefit from EU funding, through the so-called Measure 3 - "Grants For Investments".

On this page you will find out the main advantages of the 3D printing and scanning equipment offered by IRIS Robotics, and how to access the necessary funds through Measure 3 - "Grants For Investments".

How can 3D printing and scanning technology help you?  aria-level="1">In-house prototyping and testing of parts, as well as their production for current activity.
  • Reducing the cost of replacing spare parts on machinery and other equipment by at least 50%, by reproducing them using 3D scanning and printing technologies
  • Reducing production time. More precisely:

    • Times for making the necessary models with the help of scanning and printing, as an alternative to making them by classical methods.
    • reproduction (reverse engineering) of physical objects/models, to reduce the times required for designing the model with the help of 3D scanning

    Flexibility of production. Namely:

    • making small series of products (between 5-200 pcs), depending on the type and complexity of the product and printing.
    • making customized objects and products - to order or with a new concept developed by you.

Examples of using 3D printing and scanning in various industries:

    • In Mechanical Production/Engineering: for replacing defective plastic parts on machinery and equipment, or aluminum ones with hard compatible materials (eg those with bronze insert, aluminum).
    • In Architecture: for the creation of models "in-house", without using external suppliers.
    • In Advertising Production: for the production of promotional materials (trophies, keychains, etc.)
    • In the Creative Industry: for making prototypes and initial tests for monuments and other art objects.
    • Plus many more. Contact us for a free consultation, and find out if your idea can be realized with the help of 3D printing and scanning. The possibilities are endless.

Solutions Available Through Measure 3 - "Investment Grants"

    3D printers.

Quickly create prototypes, 3D print small and large objects, or 3D scan real objects to be recreated.

    3D printers for small volume

With this type of 3D printer you can print small physical objects (25 x 21 x 21 cm). It is especially recommended for prototyping.

For example: a key ring, a screw, a mug, a phone case and whatever ideas you can think of that fit this small size.

Technologies: FDM, Resin, Powder(SLS), Coffee (edible)

    3D printers for medium volume

With a 3D printer with medium printing volume you can print larger objects, up to 45x45x47 cm.

For example: decorative objects, sculptures and whatever you need and fits in the medium size.

    Technologies: FDM

    Professional 3D printers

A professional 3D printer is a great fit in areas where precision matters a lot. If you need fine and delicate details in the finished product, a professional 3D printer suits you.

You can print small, medium or large objects with technologies on resin or solid materials, depending on the chosen model. Technologies: FDM, Resin, Powder (SLS)

    3D scanner for various projects

With a 3D scanner you can easily scan any object, which you can then prepare to be printed with a 3D printer.

This process saves you time in the design process, and helps you easily reproduce any real object.

How to access between 50,000 and 200,000 EURO through Measure 3 - "Grants for Investments"

Below you will find some essential information about this program, as well as the official sources for additional information.

Starting from December 3, 2020, micro-enterprises and SMEs will be able to access non-refundable funds of 50,000-200,000 euros each through the so-called "Measure 3 - Investment Grants".

Measure 3 is described in Emergency Ordinance (OUG) 130/2020, and below you will find some essential information about these grants, extracted from several official sources.

To begin with, the total budget is 550 million euros, of which 478.25 million euros are non-refundable aid, and the rest is co-financing provided by the final beneficiary.

Practically, this means that all those who want to access these funds must bear at least part of the expenses/investments they want to finance through the grant.

You can do this either through your own contribution or through loans offered by banking institutions.

The minimum amount you can get is 50,000 EURO, and the maximum amount 200,000 EURO.

Grants can finance a maximum of 85% of eligible expenses, depending on the locality where the commercial company is registered.

For Bucharest - Ilfov, you will have to contribute at least 30%, and some consultants recommend even 45%.

    In the rest of the country, your contribution will have to be at least 15%, while consultants recommend 35%;
