MMU3 comes with a redesigned design and a new filament loading mechanism. Instead of the previous Bowden system, the new unit uses a direct feed and a single PTFE tube to direct the selected filament to the extruder. The motorized selection head has a fiber optic filament sensor and a built-in blade that prevents the filament from jamming.

Original Prusa i3 MK3S+
The original Prusa I3 MK3S+ is the successor to the award-winning original Prusa i3 MK2 3D printer. With the re-built extruder, a multitude of sensors and the new MK52 magnetic heat with a replaceable PEI steel print sheet, we think we've developed the best 3D printer yet!

• Frame stability
Quieter and faster printing With MK3S+ we introduce the Y axis rebuilt from Aluminum extrusion. It offers the same rigidity as other printers, while offering the elegant look of our milled Dural frame. The frame is also optimized to add 10mm of total Z height to 210mm.

• Quieter and faster printing
Thanks to the new Trinamic2130 drivers and the Noctua fan, the MK3 is extremely silent in stealth mode. But the MK3 is quieter than 99% of available printers, even in normal mode. In normal mode, I also increased the print speed. Now you can get more than 200 mm / s!

• Power outage?
Have you ever tripped over a power cord and lost a 20-hour model? MK3S+ will save you! The printer can fully recover from power loss. It detects the interruption of the power supply and stops the heating of the bed. After the power is restored, you can continue printing.

• Filament sensor
Our optical filament encoder detects the presence of a filament and its movement. The MK3S+ can recognize that the filament is running out, stop printing and ask the user to insert a new spool. It can also detect the blocked filament and offer the user the possibility to clean the nozzle.

• Recovery of Changed Layers
The new EINSY RAMBo motherboard with Trinamic drivers not only makes the MK3S+ silent, but can also detect steps and layer deletion. This is an important step in printer reliability and user confidence. You can say goodbye to ugly prints!

• Extruder
The extruder has now been upgraded with Bondtech drive gear. It increases the filament on both sides, thus increasing the pushing force and making the printer more reliable. This is especially useful for flexible filaments. Also, the print fan now cools one of the two parts, increasing overall performance.

• Probe P.I.N.D.A. 2
MK3S+ has two new thermistors. The first measures the ambient temperature of electronic devices, preventing MINTEMP errors in rooms with 15 °C or less. The second one is incorporated in the new P.I.N.D.A. 2 to compensate for the temperature deviation. So the first layer will always be perfect!

• E3D V6 nozzle
E3D V6 is a market leader worldwide and is well known for its performance at high temperatures. MK3S+ uses a custom heat generator developed together with E3D. Reliability has proven to be improved in our material version and continues to produce excellent performance in a surprisingly small form factor.

• Possibility of removing the bed
The new MK52 Magnetic HeatBed has a replacement spring steel plate with a PEI surface. You can choose between two types of sheets: smooth PEI sheet (the default option, already available) and PEI coated with textured powder (this will be available later).
