Introducing the Cruzr robot
Cruzr is a next-generation service robot, an autonomous humanoid robot designed to optimize relationships with both customers and company employees.
Cruzr service robot is actually a humanoid, autonomous and intelligent robotic platform. It is equipped with a wide variety of sensors (Lidar, sonar, infrared, depth sensor, etc.) to ensure smooth movement through its environment. The Cruzr is non-bipedal, has omnidirectional wheels and a total of 13 degrees of freedom from head to waist.
Cruzr is a robot dedicated to business in that it offers multiple customer-oriented functionalities:
- Can communicate effectively thanks to highly sensitive facial and emotional recognition functions;
- Provide different ways to interact with customers - vision, voice, text, action - for a richer experience;
- It also has a video conferencing tool, which facilitates communication between teams within the company;
- Cruzr automatically recharges by navigating to its charging station after 8 hours of continuous use.
Features of the Cruzr service robot
Cruzr is primarily designed to improve a company's customer service. It can be used at home, in a lobby, at an airport, at a shop or at the reception of a company headquarters. It can help customers from the very beginning of their journey, providing all the necessary support and information. The U-SLAM technology developed by Ubitech also enables it to locate and map its environment to effectively guide customers and partners.
Due to its data analysis features, it is also an invaluable source of help for companies that want to collect, store and analyze customer data, such as the degree of interaction with products/services or customer satisfaction, etc.
Movement and autonomy
You will be amazed by the flexibility and fluidity of Cruzr's movements! With 17 degrees of freedom, the Cruzr moves like a human. Cruzr has flexible arms and can give users rich body language. With its four-layer protection system, Cruzr is able to shake hands, greet visitors, move, dance and hug. The three non-slip omni-directional wheels allow it to move smoothly by rotating 360 ° with a maximum speed of 1 m/s.
Multimodal interaction
Cruzr integrates different modes of interaction. Multimodal synergies and coordination make interaction more fluid and human-like, which greatly improves the user experience:
- Voice: Thanks to the two-channel stereo speakers, Cruzr is able to speak in English and Chinese
- Vision: Cruzr is equipped with a 13MP camera that allows it to effectively understand its environment. The images are processed by software capable of identifying faces in milliseconds. Cruzr is an open source platform that also allows you to implement third-party resources for emotion detection, gender, age, ethnicity recognition, etc.
- Text: Cruzr's built-in 11.6-inch touchscreen tablet can display any type of information (text, images, videos...) making interaction even smoother
- Action: You can program Cruzr to act differently and do things based on a specific event or series of events.
Location and Mapping
The Cruzr robot includes UBTECH's proprietary U-SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) software that uses real-time positioning and mapping to avoid obstacles. From the software, you can easily preset a navigation, fork or set specific points of interest. The Cruzr is capable of operating in complex environments thanks to its depth-sensing camera, Lidar and IR sensors that allow it to navigate autonomously.
Automatic placement and reloading
Cruzr's battery provides 6-8 hours of active use (standby - 24 h). When the battery is low, the Cruzr will automatically return to the self-charging station. In the unlikely event of a battery failure, the customer will be able to view the last known location. However, the chances of that happening are very low, as the Cruzr will return to the self-charging station.
Centralized control system
The centralized control system can process multiple functions such as map management, real-time motion control, and video playback that are useful for scenarios such as mobile patrolling, advertising services, and monitoring/security. Cruzr can patrol independently and patrol manually. A new security patrol format is now possible through human-machine collaboration between Cruzr and security personnel.
Personalized services
Based on the open-source SDK interfaces for body movements, basic actions, expressions, speech, lighting and facial recognition that are offered in the Cruzr robot platform, developers can customize their own applications according to their own specific scenarios. This further expands the depth and breadth of applications for the Cruzr.
Ready to grow with your business
For autonomous Internet access, Cruzr is equipped with WiFi 2.4G / 5G wireless connectivity.
