Creality Raptor Pro 3D scanner

Creality Raptor Pro is a hybrid 3D scanner oriented towards automotive and reverse engineering applications, built for productivity without compromising on details. It combines 22 crossed blue laser lines, 7 parallel blue laser lines and NIR scanning with structured light, and switching between the two Blue Light modes is fluid, depending on what you want to achieve, speed on large surfaces or fine detail on local areas. The volumetric accuracy is 0.02 mm + 0.08 mm/m, and the range of scannable objects is between 5 and 4000 mm.

For fast scanning of medium and large objects, the module with 22 crossed laser lines covers the surface efficiently and reduces the need for multiple passes. In laser mode, the speed reaches up to 60 fps and up to 660,000 points per second, which makes it suitable for auto parts, panels, rims, body elements and other components where time matters. For Partial HD scanning, the module with 7 parallel laser lines uses fine lines, up to 0.1 mm, for sharper edges and richer details. For outdoor use, the resistance to ambient light is practically thought, with indicated thresholds of up to 50,000 lux for the module with 7 lines and up to 100,000 lux for the module with 22 crossed lines.

On the NIR side, Raptor Pro uses structured light for scenarios that benefit from markerless scanning and dedicated algorithms, including a face and body algorithm that captures more details and facilitates hair scanning as well. In NIR mode, the scanning speed goes up to 30 fps, which helps for smoother handheld scans.

The stability in use is supported by One Shot 3D imaging technology, with anti-shaking function and fast backtracking, to reduce the risk of losing tracking and keep the scanning flow constant. The optical construction and algorithms are oriented towards consistency, with temperature compensation for stability and accuracy in real use.

For the quality of details, Raptor Pro integrates a 2.3 MP 3D imaging camera, lens with reduced distortion below 5‰, φ20 mm wide depth of field lens, optical system with 9 glass elements and metal components for the lens assembly. Color scanning is 24-bit in all modes, with a high-resolution RGB camera and LED lighting, where blue light helps laser scanning, and white light is used to improve textures and color brightness.

As for ergonomics, it is a light and portable device, weighing 405 g, with status indicator ring, buttons for direct operation, anti-slip handle and detachable cord. It also supports the extendable Scan Bridge, for switching between wired and wireless scanning, with the mention that the Scan Bridge can be purchased separately, if necessary.

On the software side, CrealityScan delivers a clear flow from capture to model, with step-by-step tutorials, one-click processing and useful functions such as Partial HD Scanning, Global Marker Scanning, Point Cloud Editing, Face and Body Mode and easy calibration. Scanned data can be integrated into inspection, design and 3D printing flows, with quick import into popular solutions such as Geomagic Control X, Geomagic Design X and Verisurf Inspect, for better workflow efficiency.
