For use on humans, there is a dedicated face and body mode, with a mapping algorithm that captures more details and can scan even hair more easily. From a safety perspective, it is mentioned the use of near-infrared light invisible to the eyes and the inclusion in Class 1 for safety, so that skin and face scanning is worry-free in normal use.
